Service Description

Session Dates & Pricing: July 14 - August 4th​ ​​​ 4-Week Session: $695 ​ $590 (15% discount) if signing up by Monday, May 12 $620 (10% discount) if signing up by Monday, May 26 ​ Weekly Session Plans ​ Week 1: Foundation of Writing – "Getting Ready to Write" Skills Focus: Finger dexterity, posture, pencil grasp • Warm-up: Finger obstacle course (putty, tweezers, clothespins) • Pencil grasp game using tiny crayons or broken pencils • Jump Frog Letters: Practice forming I, F, E, P, R, D • Game: 'Who’s Got the Strongest Fingers?' challenge • Closing: Parents receive a take-home fine motor activity ​ Week 2: Uppercase Letter Formation – "Building Strong Shapes" Skills Focus: Forming uppercase letters using multisensory input • Warm-up: Animal walks (bear, crab) and yoga for core stability • Roll-a-letter game (use dice to determine letter and formation method—chalk, sand, shaving cream) • Sky writing + paper tracing of diagonal uppercase letters: A, K, M, N, V, W, X, Y, Z • “Letter Builders” – Form uppercase letters using sticks or foam lines • Game: Alphabet relay race • Closing: Take-home worksheet and fine motor challenge Week 3: Letter Placement and Spacing – "Making it Neat" Skills Focus: Writing on lines, spacing, copying short words • Warm-up: Maze tracing + peg activities • “Magic C” game (helping children visualize and form curved letters) • Writing practice: Copy 2–3 word phrases using highlighted lines and spacing cues • Teach “finger space” and use popsicle sticks as spacers • Visual motor game: “Space Monster” eats spaces that are too big/small • Closing: Share progress with parents, send home practice sheet Week 4: Putting It All Together – "Show What You Know!" Skills Focus: Writing short sentences, review of fine motor skills • Warm-up: Simon Says with fine motor actions (snap, tap, squeeze) • Review letter formation through a scavenger hunt game • Write a sentence prompt: “I can write because I practiced!” • Optional creative project: Make a mini-book with 3 pages and drawings • Final handwriting sample (same as Week 0) • Closing celebration with certificates and stickers

✏️ Booking Policy – Summer Handwriting Program This is a 4-week program designed to run once per week at your selected day and time. Your booking secures all 4 sessions in the series. Payment is required in full at the time of booking to reserve your spot. Due to limited availability, we are unable to offer refunds or make-up sessions for missed classes. If you have any questions or need to discuss your child’s specific needs, feel free to contact us before booking. We look forward to helping your child grow confident and capable in their handwriting skills!
